Matthias Rosenberger
Matthias Rosenberger originally founded Malao Film as an independent film production company, before expanding Malao in 2020 to an ecosystem beyond films to include technical systems and location-based experiences.
Matthias directed and produced Spaghetti for Two which went on to be nominated at 100+ international film festivals, winning the Best Film Award 40+ times. He went on to acquire the rights to and executively produce the adaptation of Michael Ende’s Jim Button.
Matthias is a social entrepreneur and film director/producer. He has a diploma in Audiovisual Media from HDM Stuttgart and an MBA in Innovation and Business Creation from UC Berkeley and Technical University Munich (TUM).
Over the past 25 years, Matthias has gathered extensive experience in the entertainment industry across film, events and digital platforms. Today, he passionately brings his experience and innovative ideas to building the Malao universe, to empower and inspire millions of people to make our world a better place.
