Tim Murithi
Professor Tim Murithi is the South African Representative to the International Coalition for Extraterrestrial Research (ICER), and a member of the Advisory Board of the Society for UAP Studies. He is an academic researcher with three decades of research experience in the field of conflict resolution and peace building in Africa. He is currently a Professor of African Studies with the University of Cape Town, University of the Free State, and Stellenbosch University, in South Africa.
Professor Murithi’s an author and editor of 13 academic books on peace and transitional justice in Africa. Following the release of the UAP videos in 2017, he has authored a number of newspaper articles in South Africa on the UFO / UAP phenomenon, including Mail & Guardian, Daily Maverick, and The Observer Anomalist — which are all available online.
Professor Murithi has given presentations on the phenomenon to the: Limina Symposium convened by the Society for UAP Studies, in February 2023; Annual Anomalous Aerospace Phenomena Conference (AAPC) convened by the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies, in July 2023; UFO Research Queensland, Australia, in January 2024.
Tim has also been interviewed on the UAP / UFO phenomena on television by the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), on radio by the Cape Talk 567 and in a podcast by ICER, which are available on YouTube.
He is an active member of the Cape Town UFO Meet-Up Group and is currently researching on Pan-African UFOlogy.
