Walter Holder
Walter Holder is a retired academic physician and surgical oncologist. He grew up in North Carolina and trained at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for undergraduate and medical school and later did his surgical residency at Duke University. He has taught medical students and residents lifelong and has done biomedical research in tumor biology and tissue engineering at Duke and Stanford Universities and the University of North Carolina, where he generated many peer-reviewed publications and wrote scientific and medical book chapters in various textbooks.
Along with his strong scientific background, Walter has had a lifelong interest in spirituality, human evolution, environmental issues, paranormal occurrences, and our future. He and his wife moved back to their roots in Winston-Salem, North Carolina just in time for the pandemic during which time he wrote his first novel, Future Past Present (Pegasus Publishers). The book is a science fiction work dealing with time travel, paranormal issues, UFOs, and the future of mankind.
Walter finds that fiction is an excellent medium for developing new ideas and introducing concepts that are foreign to many readers. He is also currently writing a memoir about his many life-long paranormal experiences.
